January 2022

WMJS trainings are going to continue on Zoom in Spring 2021.

Plans for training days will be made, assuming they can be held within government guidelines.

Christmas training 12th December on Shoal Hill was a great success. Thanks to Mike and Neil for their planning and coaching.

JIRCs 2021 was held in September in the NE. A team of two juniors attended.

In-person WMJS training days were held in May, June and December. In addition, WMJS joined the East Mids squad for a training in October and the Orienteering Foundation training in the Lake District in November.

In order to reduce our costs we will fund raise at some events (cake stall usually).

Also the squad is registered to Easyfundraising. This is a site that donates money to the squad if you buy things through them. Please visit the site and register with them to help us raise funds for the squad. We continue to recieve money from Easyfundraising which helps keep us afloat along with the donation of £1000 from the WMOA.

Nothing planned currently.

Fundraising has been severely limited by the covid-19 pandemic. We have not been able to hold cake sales at events nor hold the annual quiz.
