The West Midlands Junior Orienteering Squad exists to support junior orienteering in the West Midlands Region. 

Membership is open to any promising and committed young person aged from 12 to 18 who are committed orienteers, have attained their appropriately coloured West Midlands Orienteering Association Badge, are members of one of the West Midlands Orienteering Association Clubs and regularly compete at West Midlands League Orienteering Events. WEST MIDLANDS SQUAD NEWS
Kirsten Strain will lead some of the WMJS training. 
Mel Elkington will continue to coordinate and support the athletes with information on selection criteria etc.

The Compass Sport event cake stall raised £117.50 , then World Schools Cake stall at the Midland Champs raised £76.99 . The diary has sold 60 days so far

Junior Inter regional Championships . Well done everyone, sadly down at 9th this year but with a young team so next year!!!

We have received several donations recently from Emit Brikke repairs and in addition a donation for £100 via Bob Brandon talking to Rotary about Orienteering . Thanks to Coventry Rotary for the donation which will buy a new Emergency Shelter and some training control markers. We continue to receive money from Easyfundraising which helps to keep us afloat along with the donation of £1000 from WMOA.

FUNDRAISING   

In order to reduce our costs we will fund raise at some events ( cake stall usually). 

Also the squad is registered to Easyfundraising. This is a site that donates money to the squad if you buy things through them. Please visit the site and register with them to help us raise funds for the squad.
